Merry Christmas!

The first 5 months…

If you’re tired of scraping ice off your windshield, just come on down for a visit to sunny Florida! We miss you all dearly and can’t wait to come for a visit soon!

Tony has been busy working full time at At&t, and is still enjoying his work there. He started building us a beautiful bookshelf for our home and still reloads bullets for his hobbies.

God has blessed us by giving me 5 houses I clean now, all for very nice people. This allows me to take care of the house and have days off with Tony. I also work part time at a Seafood restaurant, and I will continue there until I have houses to clean full time.

In my spare time I have been doing fun projects around the house. I get most of our groceries from a beautiful farm down the road, and made pickles this month. I’ve also been baking and making meals.

We both help with games and skits every Wednesday night at our church, where we have Word of Life clubs. We have about 10 kids that come every week. We have so much fun spending time with them.

As you can see from the picture we have two dogs now. They are a handful, but we love and enjoy them!!

We love you all and wish we were closer. We were so blessed to have Mom and Olivia visit for a week! It was a wonderful week and I miss them already!

We pray for you all daily, thank you for your constant love and involvement in our lives, when life is so busy and hard.

Love, Tony and Rebecca

On our way to a non-toxic home

Whew. It's been a long journey, and I'm not even near learning all I need to about how to better take care of me and my family.

Things I've learned so far!!!

LOOK AT LABELS,LOOK AT LABELS,LOOK AT LABELS,LOOK AT LABELS,LOOK AT LABELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't waste your money on "organic" BEFORE you look at the ingredients. Unfortunately there are bad, selfish people that slap labels on things just so you buy them believe it or not- EVEN AT THE HEALTH FOOD STORE!

BUY LOCAL!!!!

I found a beautiful organic farm 5 miles from us, and you can get $25 of produce for two hours or work a week! It's easier then having a huge garden when it's only Tony and I.

ORDER ONLINE when you cant buy local.

www.vitacost.com

For bulk spices, cooking/baking, and anything else you can't make!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!! Look at what you are putting in and on your body!!!! PLEASE DON"T BE SO BLIND!!!!!!!!!!! God gave us these bodies for the whole time we are on earth. Why don't you care about taking care of it!!!!!!!!?????

Check out the toxin level in your products here. www.ewg.com

Here are a few trusted brands out there- that I like, AND THERE ARE ONLY A FEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Brommers
Vermont Soap Company
Ava Anderson non toxic

Redmond Trading

Do the research yourself if you don't take my word for it, and watch a few documentaries while your at it.

Changing your life from the inside out

It's terribly depressing to try to take care of your body when everywhere you look there is chemicals and corn syrup and cetyl alchohol in EVERYTHING.

If you've tried to take a step in the right direction by using "bert's bees" or "toms", you might as well rub poison on your body BECAUSE: they cared more about money then their integrity, and sold their companies for millions. Take a look at the back of your Tom's deoderant you bought a month ago, and the deoderant on the shelf today. Those idiots added "aluminum".

You can read about it here:

I recently switched to "Ava Anderson" non toxic.

Ava Anderson's deoderant actually works. I do have to apply it more then once a day, but other natural deoderants I tried never seemed to work.

Ava's body butter smells and works great, along with the face wash, which is working wonders for my skin. I feel so great not putting harmful chemicals on my skin.

I really recommend making your own health products when possible too. But deoderant is just one of those things...

We can take better care of ourselves and our families, one step at a time!! (I still have "Pantene Pro V"...till it runs out....shh)

Planning our dream wedding

There are thousands of magazines ,blogs and articles about how to plan your dream wedding.  I had a TON of fun planning our wedding, here are some things that may make your DIY wedding a little easier.

1. Form an idea of the atmostphere you want at your wedding. This is when you can brainstorm colors, flowers, styles.

My wedding inspiration:

2. Don't waste time deciding about little descisions. All the details make your wedding unique and special, when the wedding day comes you'll wish you didnt cry about the color your bridesmaids dresses came out- because actually the color was perfect.

3. How to save money. My advice to you, don't even look at wedding catelogues because they are so expensive! I got my shoes at the thrift store for $3.00! Mom got my vail, from the 60s, for $20.00 I had so much fun going to thrift and antique stores to find vases for centerpieces and frames for centerpieces. I spend less then $150.00 on all the decorations for the reception! etzy.com has some beautiful things, and you can make them all yourself!

4. The dress. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on.  The dress I tried on was 1mm too small, so they told me to order the next size up. DONT LISTEN TO THEM!!! After I gave them my measurements, waited 9 months, the dress came way too big AND fitting totally different in the bust, I had to have it taken it, and it was still too big.  My advice is get the dress 1mm too small, or buy a dress from a place you can buy off the rack, and not wait 9 months.  How ridiculous.

5. One final piece of advice, take into consideration what other people tell you, but don't abandon your dreams and attention to detail.  Go with the colors, venues, and little ideas you have that will make your wedding truly yours.
