Planning our dream wedding

There are thousands of magazines ,blogs and articles about how to plan your dream wedding.  I had a TON of fun planning our wedding, here are some things that may make your DIY wedding a little easier.

1. Form an idea of the atmostphere you want at your wedding. This is when you can brainstorm colors, flowers, styles.

2. Don't waste time deciding about little descisions. All the details make your wedding unique and special, when the wedding day comes you'll wish you didnt cry about the color your bridesmaids dresses came out- because actually the color was perfect.

3. How to save money. My advice to you, don't even look at wedding catelogues because they are so expensive! I got my shoes at the thrift store for $3.00! Mom got my vail, from the 60s, for $20.00 I had so much fun going to thrift and antique stores to find vases for centerpieces and frames for centerpieces. I spend less then $150.00 on all the decorations for the reception! etzy.com has some beautiful things, and you can make them all yourself!

4. The dress. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on.  The dress I tried on was 1mm too small, so they told me to order the next size up. DONT LISTEN TO THEM!!! After I gave them my measurements, waited 9 months, the dress came way too big AND fitting totally different in the bust, I had to have it taken it, and it was still too big.  My advice is get the dress 1mm too small, or buy a dress from a place you can buy off the rack, and not wait 9 months.  How ridiculous.

5. One final piece of advice, take into consideration what other people tell you, but don't abandon your dreams and attention to detail.  Go with the colors, venues, and little ideas you have that will make your wedding truly yours.
