About one month before my wedding I started thinking about how bad all those ingredients in the food we can’t pronounce be for our bodies. I mean, that’s not food. So why is it there? After reading various articles and blogs on the internet I realized my new phenomenon.
Starting to eat clean and organic when possible has rejuvenated my life. He is how I started. You find out whats good for your body- and eat it. Now change more good then bad, but don’t be a snob and I am not all the way there yet!!!!
The first thing you should cut out of your diet is processed foods. Buy the food that is closet to the way God made it. That means if the first ingredient is corn syrup, steer clear. I do not want to see the health problems coming up for us and our children when pumping our bodies full of garbage.
Buy the highly quality meat products. When you choose, look for grass fed beef and chicken. Lamb, and non-farmed raised fish.
Buy veggies from a farmers market or local farm if possible. Look for organic potatoes to start and then leafy greens. I do not look for organic peeled and exotic fruits.
Cut all store bought bread and “gluten free” choices and switch to an almond flour, Non GMO organic flour, or buckwheat…there are a few other good choices.
I am addicted to sprouted grains bread- thanks to Genevieve Emrick for showing me that!
Another thing: While I am really excited about my new journey a few things I’ve learned so far. There is such thing as becoming obsessed with this- but if we do the best we can to take care of our bodies God gave- we will very most likely feel happier, healthier and more energetic to love our husbands, take care of our children and serve God however he calls!
If you are at a friend or families that does not recognize your passion for healthy food, you should never question the quality of good friends with good conversation. Bring a healthy option and enjoy family.
Since this change my skin is 80% brighter and clear! I have my cycle every day the next month on the full moon at 9am. (I am not on any sort of birth control.)
I try to take a hot bath as often as possible. I think the troubles of this world would melt away if all wives took a bath. Its relaxing, therapeutic and medicinal. You rest your sore body from work and exercise.
I’ve started doing yoga stretches every day and can feel a huge difference in my body. I’ve also been able to run faster and longer.
Join me on my journey of good health. A big choice I made too is to have boundaries in work and play. I spend all the time off of work I can with my husband. We occasionally see friends or family, but we just love our alone time. We are going on an adventure on Tuesday!
Next article topic, how to act when your husband doesn’t share your same passions in health!
